Shri Varadraj G. Kunder has taken initiative to abolish Octroi, LBT from Mira-Bhyander area supported by Mr. Gitesh and Mr. B. S. Fernandes and also taken initiative to resolve Matadi Labour.

Description of goods exempt for payment of Local Body Tax

| 1 | Milk,Milk and cream, not concentrated nor containing added sugar or other sweetening matter. |
| 2 | Live trees and other plants; bulbs roots and the like, cut flowers and ornamental foliage. |
| 3 | Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers. |
| 4 | Educational Books. |
| 5 | Flower seeds, fruits seeds vegetable seeds, seeds of Lucerne and other fodder grass, seeds of the canna, hemp, bulb corns, rhizomes, suckers and tubers(including edible tubers), bud grafts, cutting, grafts, layers, seedlings and plants. |
| 6 | Insecticides excluding oils used as insecticides, pesticides, fungicides and weedicides. |
| 7 | Fertilizers and manures including chemical manures. |
| 8 | The goods are certified by the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board, or the Khadi and Village Industries Commission. |
